1.) What is a contrail and what is a chemtrail? Do chemtrails exist?
A contrail is a condensation trail. It's a type of cloud that's triggered into forming by the water in aircraft engine exhaust. Depending on the weather they can last anywhere from a few seconds to several hours, and might spread out to cover the sky. Sometimes no contrail forms. It all depends on the temperature and humidity at the altitude and location the plane is flying.
A "chemtrail" is a theoretical trail left by high altitude planes that contains chemicals a contrail does not. Chemtrails supposedly resemble contrails but last longer. However, many believers in chemtrails mistakenly think that contrails normally only last minutes or seconds, when in fact contrails can last for hours, depending on the weather aloft.
2.) Has their been an increase in contrails over the years in your opinion?
Yes, there's been a gradual increase since the 60s, which ramped up quite a bit in the 80s. There are several reasons for this:
There's a lot more air traffic Higher efficiency engines means cooler exhaust, so contrails form at more temperatures.
RVSM mean planes tend to fly higher as you can pack more into the higher altitudes, which are more desirable for efficiency.
Local carriers are more likely to use jets rather than turboprops, so they fly higher, and make more contrails There are more routes now, so more locations for people to notice contrails
3.) It seems like almost every day when I go outside there will be dozens of planes spraying contrails that turn into massive clouds and cover the entire city. Does this not make you suspicious at all? Other times days and even weeks will pass when none of these "contrails" will even be seen. Can you explain this?
It's the weather. On days when there's high relative humidity aloft (>60%) then contrails can form and persist. The weather varies naturally. Just like it's cloudy one week, and sunny the next, you can have contrails one week, and no contrails the next. In some places you can go for weeks without seeing contrails in the summer. Locally it varies as the rain varies.
4.) Do you know where the heavy levels of metal in the sky come from if not chemtrails?
I'm not aware of any unusual levels of heavy metals coming from the sky. All the tests I've seen show expected levels. Most of it comes from windblown mineral dust, especially aluminum, which is about 7% of average soil.
5.) Dozens of mainstream publications including the New York Times and The Guardian have covered the topic of geo-engineering. Some scientist that support the movement want to modify the temperature and weather on the planet by spraying particles from airplanes into the skies? How do you know this isn't what's happening?
Every single scientist involved has stridently denied it. Also it would be incredibly foolish to do it now before the basic research has been done. But the biggest evidence of it not happening is that there is no evidence that it IS happening. It would be incredibly hard to do without leaving some evidence.
6.) Why do some contrails disappear immediately after and others turn into big clouds? Why when you look into the sky you'll see a commercial airliner spraying nothing and an unknown type of aircraft simultaneously emitting a contrail?
It depends on atmospheric conditions. The two planes are most likely at different altitudes.
7.) Would you ever support an independent investigation to prove or disprove the existence of chemtrails?
You can't disprove them. You can only show there's no evidence. How, for example would you have an independent investigation to disprove the existence of unicorns?
If there was some evidence that they existed, then I'd certainly support an investigation. But why would someone pay to investigate something for which there is no evidence of existence?
